End of term arrangements for Year 11 and 6th form

Leavers and Results

The final day for Year 11 students at Thomas Deacon Academy is officially Friday June 12th; however there are a number of examinations in the following days as listed below:

  • Media Mon 15th
  • Foundation Learning Tues & Wed 16th & 17th
  • History & Graphics Wed 17th
  • Product Design Mon 22nd

There are also a group of students completing their ECDL on a personalised schedule.

The Year 11 Prom takes place on Thursday 9 July 2015 at the Marriott Hotel between 7:30pm – 12am, with a Masquerade Theme.

GCSE results will be available on Thursday 20th August from 9am for Year 11 in the Academy Atrium. Older students can collect GCSE results after 10am and younger students will be issued with their results in September.

AS and A2 results Thursday 13th August

9am for Year 13s and 10am for Year 12 students.  Results this year will be given out in the Sixth Form Centre.

Year 12 students return to their full time timetables on Monday 8th June when they begin their A2 work. They will be off-timetable on Wednesday 24th June for their Futures programme where they will receive information about applying to University and Post 18 non-university pathways. The last day of term for year 12 is Thursday 16th June.

Year 13 students are expected to attend subject lessons until the last exam for each subject is completed. The final year 13 exam takes place on Wednesday 24th June.

The year 13 prom is booked for Tuesday 7th July at the Bull Hotel in Peterborough.

AS and A Level results will be available on Thursday 13th August in the school atrium. Year 13 students can collect their results from 9.00am and staff will be available to help with any queries regarding University places or Post 18 plans. Year 12 students can collect their AS results from 10.00am and will be able to confirm their place in Year 13 at the same time.

The Sixth Form induction for year 11 students will take place on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th June. All students need to register in the atrium at 8.15am ready for a 8.30am start in the Lecture Theatres. Students will attend subject sessions and take part in a number of team building activities during these days to prepare them for their Sixth Form studies.
